Why am I gone?
icon1 User ImageRen B | icon2 IRY Notices | icon4 September 3rd, 2008| icon32 Comments »

Yes, as you can see, I haven’t posted here in a while, so what’s up with me?

As I’ve said here previously, my income has really sky-rocketed since I was banned from AdSense. This made me think a bit too. There’s that (REALLY) old saying that goes something like “don’t trust everything in only one opportunity”. Well, I’m migrating from opportunity to opportunity, spending a bit of time on each of them.

After I made some money from I Review You, I’ve tried  ecommerce. And I have no words about how great it has been. After investing some cash I got from IRY on sales, I’ve got a 270% profit on it. I can’t really explain the whole process to you guys or else I’d be facing a 270% loss instead.

So here’s a tip. If you’ve got some money and there’s a great opportunity that doesn’t fit your previous/other activities, I say: go for it! Remember, money makes money. I’ve spent some on webspace+domains, generated some more money from it and now I’m reinvesting this with great great results!

After getting an e-mail announcing that my account was banned - for no reason whatsoever -, I’ve wondered how I’d replace the income. As I’ve told you before, it was never a great sum of money, but it was money nevertheless. So okay, I was lost, since I had put all my efforts in only one resource.

Wrong choice.

Spreading yourself over, at least, three sources of income is the best thing. Okay, you may register at a hundred or so services, but you’ll know what are the ones that really make it work. So I’ve sticked to my new sources. They’ve been working well now. That money loss from AdSense was a huge loss?

No, it was not.

Since then, I’ve earned twice as much the amount I got in four months. And that was a month ago. So you see… I’ve made eight times more than with AdSense.

Being banned from a service has never been this great. Honestly: get banned.

You might have noticed that IRY hasn’t been updated in a while. Yes, I’ve noticed that too.

I’d like to apologize for the readers and reviewees. For sometime, I was having problems with my workstation. Don’t think you’re the only ones who were affected by this. I lost about two weeks of work (almost everything I have to do is PC-based), which could only increase the headaches and stress (and inumerous emails, feeds and messages unanswered).

Enough ranting. Here are the ones getting a review in the following days (in order):

1. Zdiaz.com
2. Valerie Joy
3. Business Leaps
4. Blue Trick
5. Jean Costa
6. Bucks from Internet
7. Time for a Smile
8. Life of Marie
9. Information Technology Blog
10. Search Engine Panel

I’m sorry it took so long to get over these problems, but I truly believe they are all gone now. I intended to post this earlier but I wanted to make sure that… I was sure of this.

What about directories?
icon1 User ImageRen B | icon2 IRY Notices | icon4 April 28th, 2008| icon33 Comments »

How often directories help you in a choice? Do you check them oftenly?

I’m always considering directories, but not for surfing and discovering new things. I go through them to search more of the same subject. I like content directories, the ones that give you different resources on the same topic, although most of the directories are just a random collection of sites in a single category.

I have my own personal directory with links to great resources and bibliography on arts, philosophy and some random links. Most of them point to full articles or comprehensive websites, but almost none takes me to personal pages.
